Plantar Fasciitis - Sometimes Called "Heel Spurs"

Anyone who’s had it will tell you plantar fasciitis is a nasty painful condition which can be quite debilitating.  Sufferers usually have a very sore spot on the bottom of their foot right at the front of the heel bone.  Typically, this is worse first thing in the morning on arising, gets a bit easier through the day, flares up if the person is on their feet for too long or goes for a run or long walk, and only really subsides in bed.

For the majority of people who have it, plantar fasciitis resolves without treatment within a few weeks but in many cases it comes back from time to time.  And there is a small group for whom the condition persists for months, even years.
